What we might run
The panels, in plain terms.
Most are simple at-home kits. Each one is read against optimal ranges — and only suggested when it would genuinely change your plan.

Advanced Hormone Panel
A dried-urine hormone panel — such as the DUTCH test — mapping your sex hormones and daily cortisol rhythm.
Comprehensive Stool Analysis
Gut bacteria, digestion and inflammation markers — the picture behind bloating and low daily discomfort.
Detailed Bloodwork
Hormones, minerals, vitamins and antibodies beyond the standard panels — the low-normal markers that standard care often skips.
At-Home SIBO Testing
Assess small-intestinal bacterial overgrowth at home and track the changes over time.
Depending on your picture, that can also mean an organic acids test (OAT) for cellular energy and nutrient markers. We recommend only what earns its place — never a pile of tests “just to see.”
Why the number alone isn’t the answer
“Normal” is not the same as optimal.
Standard ranges are built to flag disease — and they’re wide. A marker can sit near the bottom of “normal” and still line up with feeling drained. We read the narrower optimal window, plus what standard panels skip.
On a standard panel, 28 ng/mL passes as “normal.” Read against the optimal window your cells actually need (teal), it’s low — and low-normal ferritin is enough to leave you exhausted. The gap between grey and teal is where you live.
Read by a real clinician
Every number, interpreted by a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition.
Your results don’t land in your inbox as a traffic-light PDF. Dr. BB Beba, DCN reads them against optimal ranges, connects them to how you actually feel, and translates the whole picture into plain English — alongside your medical care, never in place of it.
- Read against optimal ranges — not just the wide, disease-flagging “normal” band.
- Only what earns its place — never a pile of tests “just to see.”
- Most panels are simple at-home kits, done on your schedule.
- Every number explained in plain English, with you — not at you.
- Non-diagnostic: testing complements your medical care, it never replaces it.
Before you test
Questions women usually ask.
What does lab testing involve?
Simple at-home kits, or a Labcorp or Quest bloodwork order sent to you, with every result explained in plain English. (Labcorp blood draws aren’t permitted in NY, NJ or RI — if that testing is needed, we’ll guide you to the closest site.)
Do I have to do testing to work with you?
No. We start with a free 15-minute call and only suggest testing if it would genuinely help. Many women make real progress without any panels.
Are these tests diagnostic?
No. Functional lab testing helps us build a nutrition plan around optimal ranges; it complements your medical care and never replaces diagnosis or treatment by your doctor.
How is this different from my doctor’s bloodwork?
Standard panels are built to rule out disease against wide ranges. We read the narrower optimal window, plus what standard panels skip — nutrient status, your daily cortisol rhythm and gut health.
Stop guessing.
